New line from the #1 brand in Italy sets a new standard for taste and al dente texture

CHICAGO  Foodservice operators across all segments have been scrambling to keep up with consumers’ growing demand for gluten-free foods. An estimated 200 million restaurant visits in 2012 included orders for gluten-free or wheat-free, more than double what it was just four years ago.[1] Versatile, profitable staples like pasta dishes have either seemed out of reach, or required using inferior products that failed to deliver on the promise of pasta. Now the solution has arrived, as after several years of development, Barilla Gluten Free pasta dramatically outperformed the leading brand in a recent test of taste and purchase intent[2].

Barilla Gluten Free pastas are made with a proprietary blend of white and yellow corn and rice, giving it the same color, taste and texture chefs and guests alike expect from Barilla pastas. The pastas are available in four cuts:

  • Spaghetti
  • Penne
  • Rotini
  • Elbows
