Artibel was founded by the ARLIA family. From its beginnings in the 1400s, the family has been passionate about the cultivation and production of fruits and vegetables. The art and skills have been passed down through generations, resulting in pure, simple and natural products. In the latter half of the 20th century, a modern processing facility was built to allow production in commercial quantities – but with the continued commitment to the special raw materials and secret recipes of years gone by.

We utilize healthy, fresh and natural raw materials, sustainably grown on our own lands using methods that have been passed down through generations. In the processing we rely on the expertise of the master craftsmen who, in addition to their dedication to tradition, ensure rigorous product and process testing. But most important is the fact that our raw materials are 100% organic and traceable, thereby guaranteeing an unrivalled taste with a level of food safety that few can match.
ARTIBEL has made substantial investments to ensure that the company can offer customers the best in quality and service. Production - ARTIBEL develops its own seeds, plants and harvests its own crops, selects the
raw materials by hand, and then processes and packs them according to the latest in
manufacturing techniques. Production follows HACCP procedures and regular internal
quality control testing is carried out in the company's laboratory by the internal QC team.
ARTIBEL also adheres to the international quality management systems standard ISO, the
P.D.O. (Protected Designation of Origin) and P.G.I (Protected Geographic Indication)
standards. Finally, the company gets BRC certification. And, of course, all raw materials are
certified organic. The result is a range of products that meet the highest safety standards, yet
satisfy the most discerning of palates with tasty, fresh, traditional Calabrian specialties.

Made with 100% Italian figs from Calabria , for 2,500 years known as the land of the fig .The ‘Dottato’ variety is a regional product , one of a kind in the world because of its soft rich pulp, which has very few fine seeds and D.O.P. denominated. During preparation ,the temperature and cooking time are reduced to a minimum to preserve the quality of the fruit , free of preservatives and chemicals , packaged in pasteurized glass jars.

    QUALITIES : Contain all of the organic and nutritional properties of the fig .A product which is

    energizing and toning for the body. Very rich in protein with antibacterial properties , both a digestive and an expectorant.     been discovered, this product was used in the same way as we now also use honey. Made with 100% Italian figs from Calabria , for 2,500 year known as the land of the fig .The ‘Dottato’ variety is a regional product , one of a kind in the world because of its soft rich pulp, which has very few fine seeds and recognized as a world leader. For this product the figs are boiled at a low temperature. No preservatives or chemicals are added ,this concentrated operation enhances the quality and

    freshness of the product .The absolute simplicity of the preparation enhances the flavor and taste, and brings out aromas which appeal to the senses.

    QUALITIES: A product which may be used in exactly the same way as one may use honey , the

    difference being that with this molasses there is the inimitable aroma of the fig plant. Excellent as a sweetener to replace sugar. Add to emollient creams and apply to the skin as a moisturizer , very soothing and nourishing. Thanks to its characteristic aroma , it calls to mind the fig orchards of the Calabrian hills and is an essential ingredient in the kitchen for recipes both old and new .

    HOW TO EAT : Excellent when used as a dressing for cheese , on grilled vegetables (onions, courgettes, aubergine etc…. ), also as a dressing for salad .As a delicate syrup on fresh fruit salad , to sweeten baked apples or pears .Use on all sorts of desserts from semifreddo to sponge cake , as a syrup on ice cream , on sorbet , or to garnish any simple cake .May also be added in small doses to grappa or other liqueurs after a meal. Can be used in cooking as a balsamic sauce , it has an unmistakable aroma. Use as a sauce on a grilled steak , or other red meats cooked in
