  • HONOLULU – Sun Noodle, manufacturer of freshly made ramen and Asian noodle products in the United States, will join the Hawaii Department of Agriculture in a Hawaii-themed pavilion at the upcoming National Restaurant Association show taking place May 18-21 in Chicago. 

    The Hawaii Pavilion will feature multiple Hawaii-based food manufacturers including Noh Foods of Hawaii, Hibiscus Aloha Corporation, and Marine Agrifuture. 

    “The National Restaurant Association Show is a crucial industry event and we are thrilled to join our Hawaii colleagues in representing local flavors, talent, and food culture,” said Hisae Uki, vice president of marketing & communications for Sun Noodle. “Appropriately, Sun Noodle will feature our saimin at the show, which is a local staple and uniquely Hawaiian dish made with wheat noodles.”

    The event will take place at Chicago’s McCormick Place. This will be Sun Noodle’s first year participating in the Hawaii Pavilion. In addition to joining the Hawaii Department of Agriculture Booth, the company will also have its own separate booth nearby. 

    “We have a thriving food manufacturing industry in Hawaii and we want to share that story with the rest of the food world,” said Phyllis Shimabukuro-Geiser, chairperson of the Hawaii Board of Agriculture. ”Sun Noodle is a quintessential Hawaii brand and we look forward to working with them at the show.”
