    The Tunity hardware-free audio solution for TVs improves guest retention by up to 30%

    CHICAGO, IL, May 18, 2019 – At this week’s National Restaurant Association Show, Tunity will present its hardware-free audio solution for TVs in booth #9464. A first time Show participator, Tunity offers an innovative technology to help bars and restaurants attract and retain guests.

    Bars and restaurants often have a host of TVs showing various broadcasts, mostly sports, to their guests. These TVs are mostly muted.  The free Tunity consumer app allows users to hear the live synchronized audio of the TVs of their choice directly on their mobile devices.

    Through a patented deep-learning and computer-vision technology, Tunity identifies a live video stream and syncs it to a user’s smart phone, delivering the related audio in real-time. Tunity currently supports more than 150 channels in the United States, including FOX, CBS and ESPN. 

    Offering Tunity at venues improves customer retention by up to 30% thanks to the unique experience the Tunity app brings to the venue.

    Bars and restaurants use Tunity not only to improve the immediate guest experience, but also to leverage the app as a promotional platform. Since the app tracks viewership patterns, users can be targeted with offers based on their viewership habits. For example, a user who watched a Knicks game at a sports bar, would be prompted to watch the team’s next game with a discount at a specific venue via an in-app message or a game-day push notification offer. 

    Larger brands who advertise on TV or billboards can utilize the Tunity technology to add audio to their digital or regular billboards, send special offers to users scanning their ads on TV and more.  All of these options can be done using the Tunity app or the brand’s own app.

    At the National Restaurant Association Show 2019, the Tunity team will present the technology and the various ways bars and restaurant owners can benefit from it.
