The name Negril is named after one of the most famous beaches in the world located on the island of Jamaica.
In 1979, Negril was founded as an affordable and fastpace Jamaican restaurant in Washington D.C. Negril was a pioneer at the time for being the first successful Jamaican restaurant in the D.C area. 40 years later, Negril still has its roots with 4 restaurants in the D.C area, and still is run as a family business, but now is so much more.
Negril Inc is an USDA meat plant and bakery right outside Baltimore, MD that has a diverse line of products. Our Jamaican patties (flaky turnover with filling inside) have 5 variations (Spicy Beef, Mild Beef, Curry Chicken, Jerk Chicken, and Vegetable) speak for themselves. Our Coco Bread (Jamaican signature bread somewhat comparable to a Hawaiian roll) is simply amazing on it's own or used for a sandwich. While our family business heritage is Jamaican, we also have expanded beyond just Jamaican products, as we now have moved into our own ground products such as Gyro, and soon burgers as well.
