SOLIDTEKNICS USA Inc has developed two ranges of innovative world-first, seamless, one-piece wrought cookware:

  • US-ION™ wrought iron, made in Chicago from clean USA iron, plus AUS-ION™ wrought iron, made in Australia for the Australian market;
  • Nöni™ ferritic wrought stainless cookware, made in Chicago from highly conductive US-made ferritic stainless steel, and also made in Australia from German material of identical specification.

US-ION™, AUS-ION™ and nöni™ have patents pending, and are non-toxic, healthy, sustainable and multi-century durable.

Chefs have been telling us for decades that they still wanted iron pans for their superior cooking, and for natural seasoning to achieve that famous renewable, non-toxic non-stick...but they did not want the weight. Or, they wanted French steel pans, but thicker and tougher, and without the rivets that are hard to clean and turn gunky, and eventually get wobbly.

For our wrought iron pans we took inspiration from French carbon steel pans - for centuries a chef's favorite - and made ours even better by eliminating the rivets and using more conductive iron. How? We're mechanical engineers who cook, and after 2+ decades trying, we finally found an innovative way to form a pan body and handle as a single solid wrought monobloc, eliminating all welds, screws and the dreaded rivets (the bane of every chef's existence). This seamless wrought construction makes our pans easy to clean and basically indestructible (you can say goodbye to loose jiggly handles).

SOLIDTEKNICS is built on the premise that there are enough people like us who are tired of the waste and damage of the disposable consumer world, and are willing to think before they buy. We believe in a more sustainable industry where cookware is not a disposable item, and is not coated with questionable synthetics for a little extra consumer convenience. We only want SOLID cooking tools that are designed to be the best of their kind in the world, and made with such quality and integrity that they will last for multiple generations and centuries; investing in treasured heirlooms to be passed down with SOLID love of family, friendships, and good, healthy, home-cooked food.   • A new era in iron cookware 
    For US-ION™ we took inspiration from French carbon steel pans — for centuries a chef's favorite — and made ours even better by eliminating the rivets and using more conductive iron. We discovered an innovative way to form a pan body and handle as a single solid monobloc, removing all welds, screws, and the dreaded rivets (the bane of every chef's existence). This seamless wrought construction makes our pans easy to clean, and basically indestructible (you can say goodbye to loose jiggly handles). 

    Tough enough?
    This is nothing like common thin pressed carbon steel pans. At solid 1/8" (3mm) iron, our thicker pans won't warp under high heat like thin carbon steel pans, which means you can safely cook with any heat source, from induction to roaring campfire. Our wrought iron is also more conductive than carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel, so our pans heat quickly, and foods cook evenly and consistently, every time. 

    Not heavy, so not as much thermal mass as cast iron?
    ​The biggest steaks also won't cool down our 1/8" thick, highly conductive iron mass: they sear just like heavier cast iron, without the wasted weight!

    Our conductive solid ferritic nöni™ stainless steel range is perfect for all liquid boiling, slow cooking, acidic sauces, and is very low maintenance...and indestructible. Multi-century durable, non-toxic and designed to withstand the heat of a commercial kitchen.
